Problem
Training plans, exercise guidance, nutrition notes and progress records were spread across different tools. I wanted a focused experience without requiring an account or sending personal fitness data to a backend.
Solution
Workout combines training plans, timers, progressive overload guidance, nutrition resources and body tracking in a responsive installable application.
Key features
- A/B training split and exercise library
- Sets, reps, load and difficulty tracking
- Progressive overload suggestions
- Training calendar, timers, sound and vibration
- Nutrition guides, recipes and shopping lists
- Body progress records
- PWA offline app shell
- Expo and React Native mobile prototype
Privacy-first architecture
Personal records are stored in the visitor's own browser with localStorage. The current version requires no account, backend or shared database. This also makes Workout the safest LifeHub module to provide as a public live demo.
What I learned
The project expanded my experience with offline-friendly UI, local persistence, device capabilities, responsive fitness interfaces and evaluating when a backend is genuinely necessary.
